Fable is on a mission to deliver the UK’s first rent-to-own digital platform solving the deposit problem and building the UK’s largest private residential fund.
There are 13 million people in the UK living in 4.4 million rental properties generating £86 billion in annual rental income. Of these 4.4 million renters, 3.5 million want to buy their own home which represents over £800 billion value in property and equates to £69 billion in annual rental income.

Chris Cater
Chris is a proven entrepreneur and qualified accountant with over 20 years’ experience.
Starting his career in the digital advertising industry, in 2012 Chris spotted an opportunity in the freelance industry and co-founded YunoJuno, an online marketplace for creative and technology freelancers that developed in to a SaaS platform for contingent workforce management.

Stephen Mistretta
Stephen is the Co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Fable Capital. A proven investment banker, he has worked for JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank and Bear Stearns.
After a successful period in investment banking, he worked with Swiss and European-based family offices to establish three multi-asset investment funds, which adopted quantitative and alternative investment strategies. He held positions such as Fund Manager, Investment Director and Board Member.
In 2014, he moved into Fintech to co-found a marketplace for finance & insurance products targeting SMEs and retail customers. Stephen has over 24 years of investment experience.

Chris Wood
Chris is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Fable Capital.
A software-focussed technology entrepreneur with over 18 years of experience, Chris has previously worked as CTO at two successful start-ups, including Tab, a travel-fintech company he founded in 2014 (backed by venture capital firm Y Combinator).
His academic background includes studying Computer Science and speech & language processing at Cambridge University.

Philip Pirecki
Philip is a finance executive, strategist, and innovator with over 20 years’ professional experience.
Philip has worked with private equity, hedge funds, institutions, and family offices in Asia, Europe, and North America. He has a successful track record of building and leading profitable enterprises including a boutique investment advisory firm and an investment management company.
He is experienced in all aspects of leading an investment management business, including an extensive history in areas such as corporate governance, multi-jurisdictional fund structuring, operations, risk management, regulation, legal and compliance.

Neil Young
Neil has over 15 years’ industry experience and is a pioneer in the Living sector.
He was previously CEO of Get Living, which grew from a start-up to £2bn REIT within the PRS sector. Neil is the chairman of We Are Kin (student accommodation), QIQO Living (affordable homes for key workers) and Investment Chair of Young Group.
Neil is a member of the British Property Federation's Residential Board; Central Government’s MHCLG joint BtR committee; a founding Board member of the UK Apartment Association (UKAA) and chaired the UKAA Operations Committee.

Richard White
Richard has over 20 years’ experience in a variety of markets including the City of London investment, fund management and fund origination markets, and is responsible for the investment and development aspects of transactions at London-based Asset Manager.
His senior roles include Fund Management Partner at Knight Frank, where he also became head of the Property Derivatives Desk, and Senior Director at RBS. Richard’s major transactions include 107 Leadenhall Street, Fairoaks Airport and Orchard Centre, Taunton.
Richard is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Phil Clark
Phil has over 30 years’ industry experience and is the former Global Head of Real Assets at Aegon Asset Management.
He is an ex-Head of Specialist Funds at Aviva, and was previously Chairman of the Investment Property Forum. Phil is a current member of the RICS Commercial Property Forum and co-chair of the Property Industry Alliance Debt Group, which represents the industry to the Bank of England, FCA and Treasury on matters of property debt. Phil has an MA in real estate from Cass Business School, and is a Trustee of the University of London.

Ben Deacon
Ben is a seasoned COO and Chartered Accountant with over 15 years’ experience in the private equity real estate and banking sector.
He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering as well as a certificate in Digital Disruption – all from Cambridge University.
Ben spent 4 years at PWC, and 8 years at RBS as Global Ops Director in their real estate division, which overlooked a global portfolio of £4.5bn property assets. He later went on to be COO at various PE companies.
Ben is also a keen rower and triathlete.
